Critical Analyses Framework
Optimally, in a good analysis you want to:
1. Central Points: Highlight the main pts of the article (try and bring out 2 or 3 main principles or statements from the readings as a whole)
2. Themes: Bring out the parallels between the articles and any tensions or conflicts between them (based on your main pts)
3. Assessment: What evidence is used to support their respective positions. Do you challenge their evidence or believe that it adequately support their contentions? Do agree/disagree with their conclusions.
4. Conclusion: Bring together your assessments in a final statement. Here is where you can state your emotional arguments or personal feelings. For the 1st and last analyses, you should write about your conceptions of EJ and how you personally fit within the paradigm--based on the readings.
